Katie + Juan Pablo are two of the kindest souls that I’ve had the privilege to work with. We met up at Auction House Market In New Orleans first to grab drinks, and then worked our way over to Cafe Du Monde.
Pre-COVID, shooting engagement photos in the French Quarter was quite the ordeal. Because it’s generally swarming with tourists, it can be an overwhelming place to try and take engagement photos.
However, shooting at Cafe Du Monde back in early June when things were still in the process of opening up was incredible. Cafe Du Monde is a New Orleans icon, but under normal circumstance I tend to avoid the Cafe because it’s usually PACKED to the brim with tourists.
Experiencing Cafe Du Monde with very few other people present and super clean tables was truly incredible! We even had space to get up and dance 🙂 Being at Cafe Du Monde at that time almost felt like what the French Quarter would have been like 50-60 years ago.
After beignets we walked around and even took some engagement photos in the French Quarter with masks to commemorate this odd time.
Though K + J had to push out their New Orleans wedding to 2021, I can’t wait to work with these two again next year! 🙂
