If you’ve been searching for intimate wedding venues in New Orleans and want a venue unlike any other, Paradigm Gardens should be at the top of your list.
As a New Orleans wedding photographer, I’ve had the chance to be part of many different celebrations at many different, beautiful venues throughout the city. But, I have to say that Paradigm Gardens is hands down one of the coolest wedding venues you can find in New Orleans.
Here is what you should know about planning a wedding at Paradigm Gardens.

Planning Your Wedding at Paradigm Gardens
Paradigm Gardens is situated under the interstate. It is right on the edge of New Orleans’ Central Business District, but you would never realize how close you are to the hustle and bustle of the city. This venue focuses on providing sustainability in weddings and farm-to-table dining experiences for celebrations in the city.
While New Orleans has so many gorgeous historical venues, Paradigm Gardens is truly a gem in its own category. It gives couples the opportunity to be surrounded by nature and feel like they’ve teleported to a different world! A big focal point of this venue is the food and the relationships it has with restaurants throughout the city, which is one of the top reasons this venue is so special.

Paradigm Gardens Wedding Venue
This wedding venue is ideal if you know you want to plan a small, intimate wedding where you can enjoy a lush, garden ambiance and scenic views with your guests. However, Paradigm Gardens offers you more than just natural beauty, they also offer you custom menu planning and a private in-house chef for an unforgettable culinary experience.
Also, if you are looking for someone to help plan all the intricate details of your event, Paradigm Gardens has an in-house planning team that has over 10 years of professional planning experience.
Two noteworthy features of this venue that make it so unique are that Paradigm Gardens is also home to some adorable pygmy goats and they have a big wood-fire grill where you and your guests can watch Paradigm Gardens’ cooks prepare your meal!
This is one of the only venues in New Orleans that features a dining experience prepared on a wood fire grill and oven – with some of their produce coming directly from their garden.
Planning a wedding at Paradigm Gardens promises to create an experience you and your guests will never forget!

Merrit and Tyler’s Wedding at Paradigm Gardens
Tyler and Merrit have become dear friends of mine as they own one of my favorite restaurants EVER. Plus, it happens to be inside of the neighborhood I live in! I got to know these two through constant feasting at their restaurant, Plume Algiers, which has been one of the highlights of my experience living in New Orleans.
I just have to say a little more about their incredible restaurant because it is a must-visit if you’re in New Orleans. Plume Algiers is truly art in food form. Tyler and Merritt are a husband-and-wife team that brings unique Indian dishes to New Orleans.
Their restaurant started as a pop-up to give New Orleans a taste of what it’s been missing. Now it has turned into a permanent and colorful location in the historic neighborhood of Algiers.
These two live right in the same neighborhood as their restaurant, and it is their heart and soul. It takes a certain type of grit and resilience to be a business owner in New Orleans, and they embody that.
Together, they share a love of communal eating (I mean how could they not with how amazing their food is) and this became an integral part of their celebration.

Merrit and Tyler’s Ceremony and Reception
Merrit and Tyler planned a luxe, colorful garden dinner celebration at Paradigm Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for the couple. They wanted something that felt laidback but also black-tie inspired and elegant, and this venue fit the bill.
For their wedding, they had large communal tables with a family-style meal served, which created an intimate atmosphere where conversation could flow with ease. They also wanted to be surrounded by incredible food and wine and they absolutely delivered on this vision. The details and design were done by The Smaller Orchid and the florals were done by Blooms Botanica.
Merrit and Tyler created a day that was authentic to them. Every detail and decision was intentional, from Merrit choosing to refit her mother’s wedding dress to the food they served to the close-knit and relaxed experience they created for their guests.
Another feature of this wedding that I thought was incredibly heartfelt was that Merrit and Tyler made sure that their young son was actively involved throughout the entire wedding. They had their son walk up the aisle to Tyler during their ceremony, and we took some adorable family photos.
Merrit and Tyler concluded their celebration on the dance floor surrounded by their guests. Amid the flowers and softly lit murals, the energy was electric as Merrit, Tyler, and their guests danced the night away underneath the cozy twinkling garden string lights.
