5 Unique Galveston Wedding Venues
One of my favorite things about Galveston is that you can choose a wedding venue that is close to the beach, but you can also enjoy all that the historic city of Galveston has to offer. Here’s my round-up of five unique Gavleston wedding venues to consider:
Hotel Lucine
Hotel Lucine is a boutique hotel that blends classic charm with modern elegance. It’s the perfect venue for all of your wedding activities, from your cocktail hour to your rehearsal dinner to your reception.
You can also have your ceremony on their charming rooftop deck or an open-air ceremony next to the pool. If you pick this venue, you and your guests can enjoy the many amenities the hotel offers, such as lounging by the pool, panoramic, 180-degree ocean views with a drink in your hand from the rooftop bar, or dining at The Fancy.
The Fancy is an on-site restaurant with some of Texas’s top culinary talents. This hotel is also close to Galveston’s historic downtown and right next to the beach!

Moody Mansion
Three words I would use to describe Moody Mansion are Victorian, antique, and historic. This venue has a beautiful interior and exterior and is ideal for small, intimate weddings. The formal ballroom is an incredible backdrop for your ceremony, and there is ample room outside for tables and tents.

The Bryan Museum
The Bryan Museum is a Renaissance Revival-style building surrounded by impeccable grounds. You’ll find this oasis in the heart of Galveston. You can have your ceremony at the museum’s conservatory and gazebo.
This venue is surrounded by beauty, coastal charm, and stunning architecture. Here, you’ll also encounter lush gardens, a fountain, a gorgeous perimeter gate, a grand museum staircase, and so much more.
This venue not only promises a stunning backdrop for your celebration but also gorgeous wedding portraits.

Tremont House
Tremont House is the spot for an intimate or elaborate wedding affair. This venue has eight different venues, so you can definitely find a venue that suits your taste and aligns with your wedding vision.
They also have an exquisite ballroom and a Rooftop Bar. Tremont House is located in Galveston’s historic Strand District and offers a mix of Jazz Age glamour, opulent guest accommodations, and grand ceremony and reception spaces.

The Lyceum
The Lyceum is an affordable Galveston Island event venue. It is located in historic downtown Galveston and is close to the ocean. Upon arrival at The Lyceum, you’ll notice the soaring square tower and steeple, a grand double-door entrance, and captivating floor-to-ceiling stained-glass windows.
You can opt for either an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception. This venue is both historic and versatile and can be customized to suit your wedding vision.
They offer several noteworthy amenities, including full teardown and cleanup after your event, access to the venue prior to the wedding for photography, and full setup of tables and chairs. You can have your wedding in the Lyceum chapel, the Lyceta Room, or their outdoor courtyard!

Jake + Brian’s Galveston Wedding
I had the absolute honor of being able to capture Jake and Brian’s wedding in Galveston, and it was such a beautiful day. Jake is actually a good college friend of mine, so being able to be there for these two and be a part of their day was so special to me.
These two live in Galveston and love everything that this town has to offer, so it was the perfect backdrop for their dream wedding.
Getting ready and couple portraits at Hotel Lucine
Jake and Brian started off the day getting ready in their own home in Galveston. For most people, getting ready probably means going to a hotel, Airbnb or heading right to your venue.
But, this was such the perfect start to these two’s day. Plus, they live in a historic home right downtown, and the decor and vintage wallpaper in their home was just to die for!
We then moved to the beach for their couple’s photos at the beach and Hotel Lucine – which is such a cool hotel. The hotel was the perfect spot for some pre-wedding portraits.
We couldn’t be this close to the water and not stop by the waterfront and I am so glad that we did. It could not have been more of a perfect day and it was the best way to top off the morning before heading over to get married!

The Ceremony at The Lyceum
Brian and Jake got married at The Lyceum, a refurbished historical church in downtown Galveston. They loved this venue because it is the perfect mix of spiritual and historic without being associated with a religious organization. This truly is a dreamy place to tie the knot, and anyone and everyone can celebrate there!
After their ceremony, Jake and Brian had a cocktail hour, and it was an absolute must to get photos of Jake and Brian interacting with their guests. They had guests come in from all over the country, so it was so great to be able to capture all of these special moments with their closest friends and family.
This truly was an incredible and charming wedding, and it was so much fun being a part of it and celebrating the love these two have for each other!
