Leslie and Kyle wanted a multicultural wedding that not only incorporated a lot of Filipino elements but also had a strong New Orleans influence. Their Race & Religious wedding delivered that and so much more!
About the Race & Religious Wedding Venue
Since 2010, Race & Religious has hosted countless weddings and it is the care and detail that was originally put into each and every part of the homes that makes this venue so unique.
One of the most memorable parts to the property is the pool. This creates the perfect space for you and your partner to have your ceremony surrounded by everyone you love.
With all of the thought, attention, and detail put into Race & Religious, it is clear to see why it is one of the most popular wedding venues in the area. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous meaning you don’t even need to decorate much to have an amazing backdrop.
Big or small, Race & Religious also has you covered. If you are planning a more cocktail style wedding reception, they can host up to 200 guests or you can opt for a smaller seated dinner reception of up to 90 guests.
They even have smaller elopement and micro-wedding packages if you want something even more intimate for your wedding!
You can also stay overnight right at the venue and make your wedding day an entire weekend. This is a great option if you are coming in for a destination wedding or if you just want to make your wedding even more memorable and special.
The rooms can accommodate up to 11 people so you could even have a few of your closest friends or family members stay with you right at the venue.
A Lively Wedding at Race & Religious
Traveling all the way from Chicago for their wedding, Leslie and Kyle could not have picked a more perfect venue for their wedding. The two absolutely love New Orleans and honestly, if I didn’t know they were from Chicago, I would have totally guessed that they were a local couple!
Leslie is such a vibrant person and her energy is absolutely contagious. Her personality matched perfectly with the design of her wedding day and Race & Religious provided a dream backdrop for them.
Since they are such big fans of New Orleans, and Race & Religious already has a very unique and vintage feel to it, they chose to really lean into the natural beauty of the venue instead of going all out with the decorations.
They opted to keep most of the property as is with the beautiful aging pink buildings as the backdrop. To add a bit of vibrancy and energy that matches them, Leslie added flowers throughout that were bursting with color.
It really made the venue as a whole pop and I have never seen a floral design that so accurately represented the couple getting married.
To add more of that classic New Orleans energy to their wedding, they also had a brass band come and play for them. This is honestly an amazing addition to any wedding here and there is always so much energy and excitement that comes along with their music.
Each and every detail was really personalized for their wedding and it was the perfect way to honor both their Filipino heritage and celebrate their love of New Orleans’ culture. Race & Religious was the cherry on top that transformed this wedding from an amazing night to an unforgettable event.
